The Montmorency tart cherry variety is known for its tart, rather than sweet flavor, and is a cherry variety that is more red and distinct than regular cherries. The plant-based melatonin found in tart cherries is known to be about 50 times more than garlic and about 30 times more than broccoli. The product is made without purified water, additives, preservatives, or sweeteners, and is produced by whole fruit pressing without heat to minimize nutrient loss.
