a wide range of high-quality and healthy foods utilizing natural ingredients,
such as traditional herbal medicines and agricultural products, such as ginseng, which is highly effective in Korea.

2022


  • Developing into a bio-food specialized company 
2021


  • Second factory built at 553-4, Wangam-dong, Jecheon-si, Chungcheongbuk-do 
  • Pomegranate collagen sticks are exported to Russia
2020


  • Red Ginseng Products are commissioned to be produced by Baekje Geumsan Ginseng Agricultural Nonghyup
  • A contract has been signed with Baekje Geumsan Ginseng Agricultural Nonghyup for the export of 200,000 sets of Chinese red ginseng
  • Red Ginseng Collagen Sticks are exported to Vietnam
  • Red Ginseng Products are commissioned to be produced by Chungcheongbuk Jinseng Nonghyup.
  • Two-year extension of the co-development contract with Japan KIBUN FOODS INC

2015 - 2018

Establishment of a systematic production system for healthy foods



2018

The agreement was signed with KIBUN FOODS INC of Japan for the joint development of products.

2017

Certification of the Food Safety Management System ISO 22000 has been obtained.

2016
  • Received the New Knowledge Agriculture Leader award from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs
  • Construction of the first factory located at 143 Bio Valley-ro, Jecheon-si, Chungcheongbuk-do

  • Confirmation was obtained for the Venture business.

The true lacquer liquid extract and the native true lacquer pills have been registered by the US FDA

A technology cooperation agreement has been signed with the Chungbuk Techno Park Traditional Medicine Industry Center

2006Establishment of Okkane Co., Ltd

It is the first Korean company to obtain permission to comply with 'lacquer' food ingredients.  



2002

Sales of "Gangwon Injin Mugwort" jointly with Iksu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., exports to the United States.

1999

The "Body Line-up Diet" product was launched with Chosun Trading Co., Ltd. and sold 450,000 units in the home shopping market

The production and sale of "East Sea native kelp liquid extract" in collaboration with Gangneung Suhyup

Welcome to
O’kannae

As a result of the WTO and FTA agreements as well as the aging of rural workers, Okkane Company began with concerns regarding the Korean rural industry, which is losing its competitiveness. First, I came to know about natural products in Korea that have excellent effectiveness, such as ginseng, through "True Lacquer," the main ingredient in "Sumac chicken" that my mother used to make for me when I was a young child.



In Korean tradition, True Lacquer has been recognized as the best medicine for promoting blood circulation, controlling diseases of internal organs and preventing bacterial infections. In addition, 'Lacquer' is reputed to be one of the best foods for our bodies, which is why Insan Kim Il-hoon writes in 'Gu se shim bang(救世神方)', "Lacquer is similar to wild ginseng." Because of its strong toxins, lacquer has not been recognized as a food ingredient in Korea, although it has been showcased as a health food, such as sumac chicken. As a result of the tenacity and passion of traditional Korean lacquer, clinical trials conducted in 2002 by Seoul National University's Life Science Research Institute confirmed the lacquer's safety. In 2003, the Korea Food and Drug Administration issued the nation's first food ingredient license. Due to steady investments in research and development, we have been able to commercialize and sell a variety of safe and convenient true lacquer products that do not pose any threat to humans due to the poisonous nature of lacquer. Through the discovery of traditional Korean natural raw materials and combining the science of fermentation with the wisdom of our ancestors, we will strive to become a global bio-health food company.
